Vote for James Fayson A proven leader and winner Candidate Statement Complex organizations need competent leaders. James Fayson is an example of the kind of leader the National Alumni Association must have to move ahead in the 21st Century, posed to make a difference for our Alma Mater. James Fayson has proven his leadership ability by serving two term as Vice President of the Florida Regional Alumni Association. In the Vice President position, he met the challenges of building membership, managing change, motivating alums, and maintaining Rattler pride. Mr. Fayson was instrumental in putting political advocacy to work for the benefit of FAMU. His political influence was demonstrated when both the Democratic and Republican candidates (McKay and Bush) accepted invitations to speak to the membership in 1998. His political lobbying effort was an important part of a successful campaign to restore the Law School. Mr. Fayson's organizational talents were apparent in the creation of clusters for chapter in Florida. James Fayson was President of Miami Dade Chapter of the Alumni Association for five terms. This chapter, under his guidance, was the first to achieve a membership in excess of 300 people. They hosted, entertained, educated, and attracted influential guests to the Miami area, so that a positive and powerful Rattler presence was always assured. Important links:
